WPTurbo 1.6 Released

Version 1.6 of WPTurbo is now available to download in your customer area. There was a problem with the Articles module which no longer worked – we have now switched to a different articles provider, this will work in the same way as the last.

To upgrade just overwrite your old plugin files – all your campaigns and settings will be kept.

WPTurbo 1.5 Released

Version 1.5 of WPTurbo is now available to download in your customer area. There was a problem with the Articles module posting empty content so that has been fixed.

We have also added a new proxy option, under “setup” > “main settings” you can now enter a list of proxy IP addresses. This is for people whose host had been blocked from posting article content. You can list as many IP addresses as you like here, just separate with a comma. You can grab a list of usable IP addresses here.

To upgrade just overwrite your old plugin files – all your campaigns and settings will be kept.

We will have mroe modules coming soon for you, so keep an eye out for announcements.

Version 1.4 of WPTurbo is now available to download in your customer area. There was a problem with the Articles module failing with “API Error” – this has now been fixed.

We are still working on our Proxy Module for those people whose host IP has been blocked from posting articles – expect this withint the next week.

WPTurbo 1.3 Released

I just uploaded an update to the plugin, version 1.3 which you can download from the members area.

There were some updates to the Yahoo Answers module to fix the empty comments issue and the dates on multi site installations was fixed.

The author link option was missing from the Articlesbase module so this has now been fixed and you can use it in your templates.

WPTurbo on your Dashboard

Thanks to our friend Ryan Imel at WPCandy doing a write up about the launch of WPTurbo, the news went onto the dashboard of every installation of WordPress as the WPCandy RSS feed is syndicated by Planet WordPress.

Some of the comments are not the best, from moaning that the plugin costs $149 when there are free plugins out there (there isn’t one free one that comes close to WPTurbo btw) to commenting about the legality of autoblogging plugins. I commented with my feelings about auto-blogging, essentially saying its fine as long as the APIs we use content from are public and allow people to use them.

There have been many other positive blog posts about WPTurbo, and the website was featured in CSSMania, so all in all its been a good week.

WPTurbo Affiliate Program

The plugin is now for sale and the affiliate program is open for signups. We are paying out 35% commision on sales, which at the $149 sale price means affiliates earn $52.15 per sale referred.

We have had 20 affiliates signup allready and are starting to see some blog posts and even dedicated websites about WPTurbo going up.

Throughout the month of April there will be a some special prizes for affiliates being announced for referring various numbers of sales, so now is a great time to get started.

WPTurbo Website Progress

The WPTurbo website is finally up and running, I’ve been working on the site for a while now – there has been quite a lot to integrate – I used SPBAS to handle the delivery of the plugin and iDevAffiliate to handle the affiliate section.

Although the website is live and functional – I still have a few things to finish off before the official public launch. The plugin is available to purchase and the licensing system works fine, I still need to write the documentation for it and tidy up a few things around the site.

Im also waiting for the homepage video to be finished, I have someone customizing a stock after effects file I purchased by adding my own music, screenshots and text etc.
